On 27 March 2025, another round table on the topic of cyber security in education was held, this time at the SPŠ and VOŠ in Liberec. The event attracted approximately 40 school representatives – teachers, principals and IT administrators from kindergartens, primary, secondary and higher education institutions.
The programme focused on current topics related to virtual communication, disinformation, data protection and practical aspects of cybersecurity in the school environment. There were demonstrations of real cybercrimes, simulated attacks and demonstrations of freely available AI applications that can be easily exploited. The lectures were given by experts Václav Maněna, Pavel Matějíček and Pavel Reinelt from Aricoma. Participants appreciated both the expert and humorous content and the opportunity to share experiences and network. Pavlína Marešková from the Regional Development Agency informed about subsidy opportunities in the field of school digitalisation.
After the end of the professional part, the participants had the opportunity to take a guided tour of the premises of the Secondary School and College of Education Liberec. They were introduced to modern teaching and laboratory technology, such as the teaching polygon for electrical installations, teaching lines for automation and Industry 4.0, teaching robotic workplace including collaborative robots (photo below) or the new lecture hall with a capacity of up to 100 listeners.
